In this session you will be taken through some very simple yet effective breathing techniques which brings that complete stillness of the mind and allows you to go deeper into your meditative state. It also enhances your lung capacity and blood circulation working on purifying your body with every single breath that you take.
While participating in a yoga retreat at Vinyasa Yoga Ashram, participants get daily sessions of meditation from experienced instructors. In a meditation session, all participants sit comfortably, close their eyes while focusing their attention inward. It helps participants to cultivate inner peace, clarity as well as presence. The instructor provides guidance on breath awareness, body scanning or visualisation techniques to help participants quiet the mind and enter a state of deep relaxation.
Experience the sound healing session to revive of your energy and nervous system by relieving the mental stress. In this, we use Tibetan singing bowls which create the sound vibrations that promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. During the session of sound healing, the person sits or lies down in a comfortable position, while the practitioner plays the singing bowl around him. The vibrations produced by the sounds are believed to interact with the body energy system that includes the chakras to help release tension, reduce stress as well as restore balance
In our yoga retreats, we also offer Ayurvedic massage sessions to participants. A relaxing massage helps participants rejuvenate and unwind their bodies and minds. Food Whatever we eat can affect our mental and physical body. Eating balanced and nutritious food is very important for yogis. Yogic Diet is based on natural healing, rejuvenating and energizing elements from the revered science of Ayurveda.
It is a perfect food for nourishing the mind, body and souls of budding yogis.
So Vinyasa Yoga Ashram provides you yogic food which helps you physically in increasing your flexibility and stamina, mentally it helps you in being aware of your thoughts and breath. We are very adamant about bringing nutritious, vegan and gluten-free food for our students.
Note: All classes are mandatory only in case of an emergency or illness one can take leave with respected teacher permission. Uninformed leaves won’t be accepted and this will leave bad impression on student monthly performance.
A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. The practice and especially the teaching of yoga demand a high degree of self-discipline and purity. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures and asana classes.
Meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and nudity are prohibited during the course as they are counterproductive to the yoga practice. Participants who do not comply with the school rules may be dismissed from the course.
Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school. If you are having a fast any day, you have to inform the kitchen manager for avoiding food waste. Always make discipline, respect teachers and follow all rules. Always be on the time, you are late means will not be permitted to join the class.
Clear your books of account before departure from Vinyasa Yoga Ashram. Before departure return your books, maps or any goods which you borrowed. Vinyasa Yoga Ashram provides accommodation for a student who joins the yoga course. So any friends or relatives will not be included in accommodation however they can stay in school by renting another room. The student has to be present in all scheduled program of Vinyasa Yoga Ashram.
An advance of course fees will not be refundable, only in the case of emergency students can join us on other schedules.
If a student cancels the course after joining it, we accept cancellation but course fees will not be refunded in cancellation. There is no charge of course cancellation.
Jolly Grant Airport, about 25 km from Rishikesh, has daily flights from Delhi. We can arrange a cab from the airport to our school for an additional fee.
Daily trains connect Delhi to Haridwar railway station. Upon arriving at Haridwar Railway Station, we can organize a pickup for you at a reasonable charge.
We can also arrange a convenient cab pickup from Delhi to our school in Rishikesh for a reasonable fee.
You can take a bus from Delhi to Rishikesh Bus Stand. Upon arrival, we can arrange a cab to our school for a suitable fee.
