A registered yoga teacher (RYT) is a yoga teacher who has completed a minimum of 200 hours of yoga teacher training with a school that is registered with Yoga Alliance. In contrast, a normal yoga teacher may have completed yoga teacher training but not with a Yoga Alliance registered school, or may not have completed any formal training at all.
