100 Hours Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

The Yin Yoga course in Rishikesh is a beautiful practice that will make space for you to incorporate a holistic wellness routine into your life. In today’s day and age of active minds and inactive bodies, it isn’t easy to find stillness and softness. Most asana practices are intense workouts that target muscle health, often not focusing on the connective tissues and the emotional body. On the Yin side, a posture is held for at least 3-5 minutes, which allows the stress to sink deep into the tendons, ligaments and fascia, leading to an increased range of motion, releasing stiffness from the hips and lower back. As you stay in the posture and breathe through the stress,
...
you create an opportunity to connect with your rich inner world, releasing any grief, trauma or stuck emotions and letting your authentic self emerge into the world after every practice. In our 100-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training Course, we focus on the experience of Yin Yoga as much as on the theories and fundamentals of it.
Every class is personalised to take you through the journey of self-realisation, whether through anatomical and philosophical theories, understanding the emotional body, alignment for every unique individual, or teaching methodology that will equip you to sequence and deliver your class. Discover the transformative power of stillness in our 100-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh. With props like blocks and blankets, you can listen to the wisdom of your body to move intuitively.
By understanding Traditional Chinese Medicine and Meridian Theory, you realise the body’s innate nature to heal. You can upskill your practice and teaching by offering a unique perspective through learning various pranayama and meditation techniques. Find your voice by listening to the silence within.

  • Improves Circulation The slow movements as well as long holds stimulate blood flow to different parts of the body.
  • Reduces Stress and Anxiety Yin yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system as well as improves its "rest and digest" response which helps reduce the stress and anxiety levels
  • Balances the Mind and Body Yin yoga develops mindfulness in the practitioners and gives support for meditation which balances mental as well as emotional states.
  • Aids in Emotional Release Long hold of the Yin yoga postures release the trapped emotions stored in the body’s fascia and give emotional healing.

History of Yin Yoga

History of Yin Yoga

The concept of Yin yoga is based on the principles of Taoist tradition of ancient China. In the Taoist tradition, there is the concept of Yin and Yang in which, Yin symbolises the passive, dark, still, cool as well as receptive aspects of nature like moon, night, femininity and the earth. The Yang conversely represents light, activity, heat as well as dynamism. It is linked to the sun, daytime, masculinity and the heavens.

Traditional yoga mainly works on dynamic movements as well as muscle engagement while Yin yoga follows a complementary approach by targeting the joints and deep connective tissues in the body

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs on Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh
This is a slow paced yoga that involves long holding of one asana (typically 3 to 5 mins) which targets the connective tissues with the goal to improve circulation in joints and thereby improve flexibility.
There are several benefits which includes but not limited to : improved flexibility and mobility of joints, release the tension rom fascia and stiff muscles, enhanced flow of blood and energy, deepens the meditative state in asana practise.
Other forms of yoga are more focused on movement or muscle strengthening and stretching, whereas Yin Yoga is focused to go deeper to the connective tissues and focuses on relaxing rather than tensing the muscles and joints.
As the practice is very slow paced, it can be easily adopted by anyone who is a beginner. Besides using of props makes it more relaxing and rejuvenating which is very good for anyone who wishes to have a relaxing experience.
The teacher will guide you through yin specific asanas, their variations, benefits and contraindications. Besides this you will also learn the philosophy and history of Yin Yoga and understand how to conduct your own yin class
