Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh IndiaWelcome to the Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh, India. This is a great add- on specialised program to your existing 200 hour /300 hour/ 500 hour or any other Yoga Certification. This program is designed for yoga teachers, experienced practitioners, and wellness professionals who wish to learn how beautifully a female body is designed to go through different stages of reproductive lifecycle and support them throughout. From Puberty to Pregnancy to Delivery to Post partum to Menopause – every stage is covered in detail, in this training.
Pre-conception phase : At first the course gives a lot of emphasis on the preconception aspect where both male and female have to prepare themselves to plan a conception by looking at three main factors called “Ahaar – (Nutrition), Vyavhaar (Action) , Vichaar – (Thoughts)”. These three aspects are covered both philosophically as well as anatomically so one can start implementing these aspects in their daily life to have a healthy offspring. A detailed lifestyle change recommendation, asana and movement-based practises, meditation, mantras and pranayama to help with any specific infertility issue will be a crucial part of this course.
Pregnancy phase: The pregnancy phase is one of the most beautiful experiences of woman's life journey, as she goes through a great transformation in her body and mind. The hormonal and bodily changes during this time, continuously challenge her at physical, mental, biological and emotional levels. The course will take you through different stages of pregnancy, where the students will be asked to wear a fake baby bump to experience the limitation of the range of motion while performing certain movements. Various pregnancy complications will be discussed in detail, so the students understand that, as a prenatal coach where to draw a line and when to continue with the physical practise using props or other variations. Practical sessions and specific workshops will be held to ensure the students learn about the proper breathing techniques, strength and mobility techniques, relaxation techniques and meditation techniques during different phases of pregnancy. Additionally, a lot of resources will be shared and discussed about the Ayurvedic diet based on the three doshas during pregnancy
Post-partum phase: Post partum phase is a very important and sensitive phase as the female is re-born as a new mother. Similar to the new born child, a female body is also healing and recovering continuously during this phase. Our training explores the possible post-partum complications and how to manage them with correct breathing and gentle movement-based practises. A progressive strength training practise sequence is explained to ensure slow and healthy recovery of the mother. Apart from this, care from the ayurvedic perspective is also explained in detail for both mother and the child.
Menopause phase: A small part of the program also covers menopause phase and how different factors affect every women at this last stage of reproductive life cycle. The training cover the different stages of menopause, the activities to be done, diet to be maintained to go through this inevitable stage of reproductive lifecycle with ease and comfort.
Although this training is called as Prenatal and Post natal training, it has many more elements than just pregnancy and post pregnancy. The philosophical wisdom of Garbh Sanskar and anatomical knowledge of reproductive system will not only help your students but also help you in your respective reproductive journey.

However, prenatal yoga is not only about asanas, but it also covers breath work, meditation and chanting that brings a sense of calmness and relaxation and makes them ready for the great responsibility of motherhood.

Rules and Regulations of AshramPrerequisites :
A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. The practice and especially the teaching of yoga demand a high degree of self-discipline and purity. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures and asana classes.
Rules for Students :
Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school. If you are having a fast any day, you have to inform the kitchen manager for avoiding food waste. Always make discipline, respect teachers and follow all rules. Always be on the time, you are late means will not be permitted to join the class.
Clear your books of account before departure from Vinyasa Yoga Ashram. Before departure return your books, maps or any goods which you borrowed. Vinyasa Yoga Ashram provides accommodation for a student who joins the yoga course. So any friends or relatives will not be included in accommodation however they can stay in school by renting another room. The student has to be present in all scheduled program of Vinyasa Yoga Ashram.
Meat, fish, eggs, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and nudity are prohibited during the course as they are counterproductive to the yoga practice. Participants who do not comply with the school rules may be dismissed from the course.
Refund Policy :
Advance fees once paid is neither refundable nor transferable. If you cancel your booking within five days of the course start date, then the advance will be fortified and you will have to pay again for a new booking.
However, if the cancellation is before five days, then the advance amount can be transferred to another month based on availability within a year of enrollment.
