So let me start by asking you a question &#8211; Do you love something very deeply? Something or someone that makes you feel happy, calm, safe, whole, confident. That\u2019s where my journey with Yoga began. Its been a year (only) and yet everyday is a new day on my Yoga mat. <strong>Have any queries? Get answer from<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vinyasayogaashram.com\/\">Rishikesh Yoga School<\/a><\/p><h5><strong>Yoga is a continuous conversation with yourself \u2013<\/strong><\/h5><p>Yoga made me realize what breathing is \u2013 before I started my practice, not once did I stop to think about my breath. It\u2019s something that comes so naturally to us \u2013 inhale, exhale. But it goes so much deeper \u2013 how you breath is linked to your nervous system, which in turn is linked to all your organs, which in turn is linked to how you feel physically, which in turn is how you feel in your mind. Which takes me back to the starting point \u2013 your breath. It made me realize that my breath is my first connection to everything around me.<\/p><p><strong>Yoga made me believe in me \u2013<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>I get on my mat and here is what I feel.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Happy \u2013<\/strong> this is that one hour of the day that is mine. Keeping all work, all relations, all the hustle-bustle of this world aside. This one hour is a conversation between my breath, my mind and my body.<\/p><p><strong>Creative \u2013<\/strong> I am constantly thinking of new ways to up my practice. Looking at the many many yogis around me inspires me to keep pushing my boundaries. Making my own flows has allowed me to finally give life to the artist who was forever hiding behind the corporate conference rooms.<\/p><p><strong>Daring \u2013<\/strong> A year back I would not jump into a handstand. I was so scared I would break my neck. I can still break my neck if I take one wrong fall \u2013 but everyday, I trust I will make it. That I will go into that inversion and come out unhurt and a little bit stronger. And every day, bit by bit, I have become stronger.<\/p><p><strong>Beautiful \u2013<\/strong> The grace of an inverted bow pose, the<\/p><p>It began\u00a0<\/p><p>Like my heart is opening everyday \u2013\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Yoga is continually making me experiment with my physical body &#8211;<\/p><p>Patanjali Yoga teaches us something very simple \u2013 <strong>\u201cYoga ChittaVrittiNirodha\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p>Have you ever done something that changed your life in less than one year? \u201cChange your life\u201d is such a big,<\/p><p>\u201cYoga must not be practised to control the body: it is the opposite, it must bring freedom to the body, all the freedom it needs\u201d \u2013 <b>Vanda Scaravelli<\/b><\/p><p>For me, that is 50% of the answer \u2013 the other 50% lies in finding freedom of the mind.<\/p><p>Yoga is teaching me to live, to love, to share, to be kind, to be one with nature, and finally, to just be.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Yoga,in itself, has beena form of meditation for me, my hour of Dhyana in the noise of this world. Keeping all work, all relations, all the external realities of this world aside, this one hour is a conversation between my breath, my mind and my body.<\/p><p>Over the past many months, Yoga has taken me back to my roots as an individual \u2013 the belief that I am. Not that I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, an employee, a citizen, or the many other relations I live everyday. But the understanding, that before all of that, I just am.<\/p><p>I often talk about heart-openers. It is beautiful that every asana in yoga has been created to stretch the body physically, but also, in that very moment engage our mind. Back-bends open up your heart as your chest expands \u2013 and you feel this rush of emotions. Balances strengthen your muscles, and at the same time force you to focus at a singular point, making you calmer, more dhairya. Inversions focus on arm strength, but are impossible to achieve unless you are fully present in that moment, engaging every inch your body.<\/p><p>\u201cIf you fall over, you fall over. If you have to stop, you stop. But you start again. Just like life, you start again\u201d- <b>Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa<\/b><\/p><p>Such true words.A year back I would not jump into a handstand. I almost never did, yet in the infinite cycles of inhale &amp; exhale our lives exist \u2013 how I breath is linked to my nervous system, which in turn is linked to my organs, which in turn is linked to how I feel physically, which in turn is how I feel in my mind. Yoga is so deeply based on this fundamental connection between our mind, body &amp; breath.<\/p><p>And then the people, the beautiful beautiful people. No journey is complete without the people you meet on it. In a world of negativity, it has been such a blessing to meet people that breathe and breed only positivity. Each of them has taught me to love more, to live more. Because eventually, all of us are not part of a zero-sum game. There is enough for everyone to share &amp; flourish together, grow together.Such a simple thought, so powerful and yet missed by most of us.<\/p><p>And that is why I do Yoga \u2013 because it teaches
