The name comes from the Sanskrit words Paschim ( pa\u015bcima) meaning “west” or “the back of the body, uttana (utt\u0101na) meaning “intense stretch” or “straighten” or “extension; and asana (\u0101sana) meaning “posture” or “seat”<\/strong><\/p>
